Better Home Computing: Putting the Pieces Together… AGAIN!

Date: January 31, 2007
Time: 1:30-3:30 pm
Location: Korn Hall Auditorium, Anderson School of Management, UCLA.
Description:

Back by popular demand! If you missed it first time or need a refresher, come to our free seminar and learn to ‘put the pieces together’ for your home computer.

Is your Mac or PC connected safely? Are pop-ups driving you crazy? Is it possible someone is spying on you? Do you still have virus trouble? Do you know which virus and spy protection products are recommended by UCLA experts? Do you know how to set them up to maximize effectiveness? And what about wireless?? Do you understand the ins and outs of your wireless connection?

And now that the UCLA Minimum Network Connectivity Standards are officially in effect, do you meet those standards? If not, you may get disconnected when you least can afford it. We’ll help make sure you know what it takes to keep your connectivity to UCLA.

Five technology experts from UCLA will discuss key topics and answer questions at this valuable BruinTech seminar. All staff, faculty, and students are welcome. Also, we received feedback that it would be helpful to have other family member attend, so please feel free to bring guests. Just make sure to RSVP for all planned attendees.
